i still haven't seen the movie but i've watched the trailer. not too excited about it because the lead stars (at least the females) are chinese. the movie doesn't feel authentic at all. i don't have anything against zhang ziyi, michelle yeoh and gong li (i actually love gong li) but i had hoped the producers had picked japanese actresses instead.

may controversy regarding diyan. the japanese are irate they didnt get japanese actreses and that the movie was too "hollywood", the chinese are appaled that zhang ziyi, michelle yeoh and gong li are in it and had them branded as traitors to china (war crimes..bleep!). the producers just want to make money.
