tanong ni rein, sagot ko

my take on rein's questions (as posted in her blog). as much as possible, i want to answer everything na extremes lang, either or, walang gitna-gitna:

1. mahilig ba kong mag-isip?

oo, minsan seryoso. as in, religion, my future, my career, etc. minsan, kagaguhan like sino ang susunod na subject ng next prank sa office or anong magandang "pet name" sa kinaaasaran ko

2 anong mas okei: malaki ang kita pero malungkot sa work o maliit ang kita pero masaya sa work?

maliit ang kita pero masaya sa work (at masaya sa life). see? i still have some idealism left in me

3 ...masungit o malandi?

masungit. meron bang may gusto sa malandi?? personally, di ako talaga malandi and i'm allergic to girls that fall under the "malandi" category. as yamagishi-san puts it, "burikko"

4 ...usapang bastos na for fun lang o usapang bastos na for future reference?

ok. what i am about to say is the truth: i never find anything fun in usapang bastos. i don't watch/read porn and i don't talk about sex as if it were as commonplace as traffic in the metro. i really believe sex is sacred and beautiful when shared by people who have genuine love for each other. wala na magre-react ha?

5 ... ayos lang bang magmahal ng dalawa ng sabay?

my heart belongs to one, mein Koenig, mein Schatz

6 ... pala-utot o laging nangungulangot (in public ha)?

dapat pa bang pag-aksayahan ng panahon ang tanong na ito? siguro kaya tinanong rein to, kailangan lang nya i-justify ung lagi nyang pag-utot sa public. mwahahaha!! joke lang, rein! labyu! mwah! :P

7 dapat bang kahit papano may tinatago kang secret na sa'yo lang o dapat lahat sinasabi mo, as in open book?

kris aquino's life is an open book and look where it got her. as long as you don't keep skeletons in your closet, i guess it's ok to have a few select secrets to yourself.

8 ...long hair or short hair?

yup, rein, long hair! but i don't like dyed hair (for myself, ok?). unless it's dyed black, hehe.

9.... ayos lang bang magsinungaling?

if a lie can save your (or someone else's) ass, why not?

10 ...mas 'deadly': tahimik o madaldal?

silent people have a lot of arsenal up their sleeves

11 ang taong masayahin deep inside maraming tinatagong kalungkutan at ang taong laging mukhang malungkot deep inside magaan talaga ang buhay, agree o disagree?

100% disagree. i'm masayahin but i don't have grudges inside. i just happen to have a happy/sunny disposition

12 what the *&^% does 'raggamuffin girl' mean?

why would i care? di naman nakakain un.

14 pag nakatalikod ba ako tapos short yung hair ko, do i look like a boy or a girl?

girl...i have yet to find a guy with a butt like mine ^_~

15...friends then lovers or whirlwind romance?

whatever works for you. basta in the end, it's a serious relationship at hindi "fling-fling" lang

16 do u believe in love at first sight?

crush lang un. you never really look at a person for the first time and say, "i love him because he's so funny, thoughtful, sensitive, etc"

17... settling for the one that's available or waiting for ur one true love?

i really believe that with matters of the heart, hindi pwede ung "pwede na sya". hindi pwede ung "kung sinong nandyan". we all deserve the best in love. and rein, di pa sya dumaan. dadating din un. o baka naman nandyan lang sa tabi-tabi. ayaw mo lang pansinin. sige na, pumayag ka na! college pa lang andyan na sya sa tabi mo...ayaw mo lang talaga sa kanya!!!

18 ... looks o brains?
mas madaling mag-"invest" sa looks (ask dr. calayan)...mas madali ding mawala. invest in your brain na lang

i found this on msn:

Rowling: They think Dumbeldore’s a goner. Well, I will say that I have actually never said that a major character is going to die.

and for this, i am still hoping...though my tears have fallen already...

(but i'm still holding on to a lot of conspiracy theories about dumby not really pleading for his life but pleading for snape to do what is right/good. i still refuse to believe he's dead. he just can't die that easily. no way.)

i told myself before, i can stand so much death in harry potter as long
as it is not dumbledore or hagrid but... *deep sigh*. oh well, dear jk
rowling, i'm trying to hold back tears. i guess you never promised about
this person not dying but if it makes for a better story, who am i to
argue? you're really brilliant; thanks for such a wonderful book. can't
wait for the last one (and the next movie, as well).

anyone who came from ang tv! galing nya dun sa part ni regine sa "each
passing night". astig. or si regine ang astig kasi sya na lang lagi ung
ginagaya ng local singers, hehe. yes! work has become much more
enjoyable again! thank you so much, lord. ^_^

cleaning up my inbox at work. now full of nice forwarded messages such as these:

the missing 10%

Sometimes in life we are all looking for the missing 10%. Life is never perfect and there's no such thing as 100%. Most of all, we are far from perfect too!! A good reminder to appreciate life as we have right now!!

Adultery happens when you start looking for what you don't have."Wow, this girl in my office is a real looker. But it's not her Wynona Rider features that got me. I'm crazy about her because she's also understanding, intelligent, tender - so many things that my spouse is not."

Somewhere along the way, you'll find a woman or a man who will be more charming or sensitive. More alluring. More thoughtful. Richer. Have greater sex appeal. And you will find a woman or man who will need you and pursue you and go loco over you more than your spouse ever did.

Because no wife or husband is perfect. Because a spouse will only have 90% of what you're looking for. So adultery takes place when a husband or wife looks for the missing 10%.
Let's say your wife is melancholic by nature. You may find yourself drawn to the pretty clerk who has a cherry laugh no matter what she says: "I broke my arm yesterday, Hahahaha . . ."

Or because your wife is a homebody in slippers and pajamas, smelling of garlic and fish oil, you may fall for a fresh-smelling young sales representative that visits your office in a sharp black blazer, high heels, and a red pencil-cut skirt.

Or because your husband is the quiet type, your heart may skip a beat when you meet an old college flame who has the makings of a talk show host.

But wait! That's only 10% of what you don't have. Don't throw away the 90% that you already have! That's not. Add to your spouse's 90% the 100% that represents all the years that you have been with each other.

The storms you have weathered together. The unforgettable moments of sadness and joy as a couple. The many adjustments you have made to love the other. The wealth of memories that you've accumulated as lovers.

Adultery happens when you start looking for what you don't have. But faithfulness happens when you start thanking God for what you already have. But I'm not just talking about marriage. I'm talking about life!

About your jobs. About your friends. About your children. About your lifestyles.
Are you like the economy airline passenger that perennially peeks through the door of the first class cabin, obsessed with what he's missing?

"They have got more leg room! Oh my, their food is served in porcelain!
Wow, their seats recline at an 80% angle and they've got personal videos!" guarantee you'll be miserable for the entire trip! Don't live your life like that. Forget about what the world says is first class.

Do you know that there are many first class passengers who are miserable in first class -- because they're not riding in a private Jet?

The main message: If you start appreciating what you have right now, wherever you are IS first class!

May your day be filled with blessings
Like the sun that lights the sky
And may you always have the courage

To spread your wings and fly!

another good one...
This is so neat. I had never heard this before...This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.
1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayersby praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest toremember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweetduty."
2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.
3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.
4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprisingto many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.
5. And, lastly comes our little finger; the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you." Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.

ayoko na muna magtrabaho. i'm saving my brain for german class later in the evening. blog and forum na lang muna siguro. for the first time in my ww life, i'm not much different from jax. wala rin kasi ung mga team leads. still in a BIG meeting with hr and the *ubo, ubo* boss. i'm so excited about that meeting. finally, an avenue to vent the team's discontent with, uhm, everything that's got to do with her and her mini me. ewan, i'm telling doggie the other day, if things don't get better by the end of the year, i'll quit. sayang kasi being in this team has been most fulfilling: the work is good (so is the pay), and the people are very nice. parang lahat may nawawalang turnilyo, hehe. then jeromeo leaves and she comes in from this outsourcing company i don't want to mention. (syempre, together with this team leader from the same outsourcing company i don't wan to mention). then tries to drastically change the team without much consultation with the team leaders, the very same people who have been working for the company for several years now, and who know the process more than she does. tsk, tsk. is that how they do things in that outsourcing company i don't want to mention?? buti na lang weekend na...subete no ai de, lost yourself in happiness. carry on, nothing to fear, ika nga ni hyde, ken, tetsu at yukihiro. yun lang. bow.

i'm going to get a bit (more) poorer starting this month. i've enrolled myself in the company's retirement plan fund b. i have signed an agreement authorizing the company to deduct a certain percentage of my monthly salary to put in my own retirement fund. the company matches the amount i contributed and the money will be invested (by an outside party). i'll be entitled to the accumulated amount plus interest (plus the basic retirement package) after 5 years of service with the company. but if i decide to leave before my 5th year, i am only entitled to the amount i contributed plus interest earned. not bad, huh? it's like i'm actually being forced to save...which i cannot do by myself because i lack discipline in that department. besides, being forced to bad for my bisyo (so someone tells me). sabi nga ng friend ko, adik daw ako masyado sa
music, lalo na sa japanese music. dapat lahat original, dapat lahat bili sa japan. hoy, hinde no! ung kay gackt lang, orig. pero the rest, pwede na ung copy or downloaded from the net. but yeah, i love music so much that sometimes it looks like earphones are surgically attached to my ears. hey, it's not a vice that gives my parents headaches.

i'm turning 25 next month and will be 50 in 25 years, hehe. i found a great site to keep track of the things one wants to accomplish before the great 5-0. i've started my list and here's what i've come up so far:

1. Get my postgraduate degree
2. Travel all over Japan
3. Travel all over Europe
4. Travel all over the Philippines
5. Learn as many languages as I can
6. Visit all of my penpals around the world
7. Get married and have kids
8. Visit Jamaica
9. Ride a double-decker bus
10. Learn to surf/wakeboard
11. Ride an elephant
12. Make a comprehensive online travelogue about the Philippines (written in English, Japanese, German, Italian and Korean)
13. Visit the Pyramids
14. Take a hot-air balloon ride
15. Go horse riding
16. Climb a mountain
17. Christmas in New York
18. Do a parachute jump
19. Go whale watching
20. Visit Machu Picchu
21. See the northern lights
22. Spend Christmas in Hokkaido, Japan - brrrr...

make your own list at my50. have a great weekend!
